Marcus J. Phinizee

Marcus J. Phinizee, age 24, passed away December 11, 2023.  He was born December 15, 1998, in Cleveland to Stephanie (Shepherd) Phinizee and the late Douglas J. Phinizee.

Marcus graduated from Mentor High School in 2017. He worked as a welder before joining Avery Dennison as a machinist in 2022.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, grilling out, riding his motorcycle, being in nature, listening to music, playing with legos, and watching Scooby-Doo. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, thoughtfulness, and kindness.

Marcus is survived by his wife, Yuri (Martinez) Phinizee and their expected baby; his mother Stephanie; grandparents Mary Guella, Grandpa Phin, Grandpa Frank, and Carole McGowan; cousins Erin (Brian), Jarrod, Gabby (Alex), Colin (Jessica), Joe, and Anne; his aunt and uncle, and many loving extended family members and friends.

Services will be Saturday, December 16, 2023. Visitation 3:30 – 5:30 PM at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH 44077. Funeral Mass to follow at 6:00 PM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville, OH 44077.
