Mark R. "Raggs" Rago

Mark R “Raggs” Rago, age 64, of Painesville Township was the son of Domenick and Rose Marie (Colabove) Rago.  He was born on March 22,1959 in Altoona, PA and passed away September 3, 2023, at University Hospital in Cleveland.   As spoken by his sister, "He was loud and unapologetically opinionated about what he believed in. The title "conspiracy theorist" was a description used on him 30+ years ago, and he was RIGHT about so, so, so many things. He was as tough as they come and in his younger days, threw down like no other but Mark had a tender side that he showed to those closest to him."
Raggs was a one of a kind.  Honest, work hard, play hard, man's man. Truly the last of a dying breed and he will be dearly missed by those that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Penny (Hancock) Rago whom he married on February 10, 1979, sons Nathan (Deann) Rago, Christopher Rago, grandchildren, Brandon, Vincent, Daniel, Ryan, Elijah and Olivia; father, Domenick Rago; brother, Louis (Bridget) Rago; sisters, Dawn Marie Rago Showalter and Julie (Don) Rago Wolford, and many generations of nieces and nephews. He will be greeted on the other side by his loving mother, Rose Marie (Colabove) Rago and his grandson, Jacob Rago. 

We encourage family and friends to call from 4-7 PM Friday September 8, 2023, at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville. Services will be Saturday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mentor Cemetery..
