Mary C. Bray

Mary C. Bray, age 80, passed away April 15, 2024, at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Township, Ohio.  She was born March 5, 1944, in Painesville to Paul Daniel and Agnes (McCarthy) Dougherty.

Mary served as a nurse in the U. S. Army.  She then worked at Lake East Hospital for over 23 years, retiring in 2002.  She was a member of St. Mary Church in Painesville.  She was active in the Bereavement Ministry, the St. Vincent DePaul Ministry, served on Parish Council, and was a Eucharistic Minister. She also delivered Meals on Wheels.

Mary had unwavering love for her family, especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life.  She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends and beloved pets. Her sweet spirit and kind demeanor left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Mary is survived by her son, Michael (Michelle) Humphreys; step-sons, Eddie A. (Judy) Bray and Van Alan Bray; brother, Michael (Donna) Dougherty; sisters, Diane Dougherty and Paulette (Robert) Howard; grandchildren, Alison Humphreys and Joseph Humphreys.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Bray in 2022 and her parents.

Friends will be received 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, April 19, 2024, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667, Mentor Avenue, Painesville.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 20th at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville.   Please meet at the church.
