Mary L. (Moore) Reed

Mary L. Reed, age 78, passed away June 18, 2025, surrounded by her family.  She was born August 5, 1946, in Cleveland to Charles Omer and Blanche Martha (Gensert) Moore.

Mary graduated nursing school at St. John’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio in 1967. She went on to serve in the United States Air Force. She finished her 58 year nursing career at the Cleveland Clinic where she worked for 34 years. Besides nursing, her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Mary was very strong in her faith and was proud of her country.

Mary is survived by her son, Sean (Kelly) Reed; daughters, Kathleen (Jeff) Engelmeyer and Megan (Sherman) Williams; brothers, John (Madeline) Moore, Jim (Donna) Moore, Charles (Janet) Moore, Joseph (Suzanne, deceased) Moore; sisters, Sarah (Brett) Williams, Martha (Marc, deceased) Fuerst; sister-in-law, Kathleen (Tom, deceased) Moore; seven grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM, Friday, June 27th at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Fairport Harbor.
