Mary Lee Williams passed away on January 15th, 2025, at age 82, surrounded by her family.
Mary Lee was many things to many people. She was a talented chef and baker, always prepared with mounds of cookies when family came to visit; she was a consummate storyteller, who told old tales with the same passion and energy on the hundredth telling as on the first; she was a loving and loyal friend and mentor to those who needed guidance; and she was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, and sister, who cherished her family above all else.
She was also a passionate sports fan; the greatest days of her life included the births of her children, her grandchildren, and June 19th, 2016, when the Cavs won the NBA Championship, ending Cleveland's 52-year championship drought.
Mary Lee had an endless amount of love to give, and gave it freely to everyone she cared for. The world is a better place because of her, and she will be deeply missed.
A memorial visitation will be held on March 10th, 2025, at 10:00-11:00 am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Shaker Heights, Ohio, followed by a Mass in her honor.
