Melvin Fundermark, age 94, passed away January 4, 2025, in Mentor, Ohio. He was born May 4, 1930, in Painesville to Elmer Fundermark and Matilda (Becka) Fundermark.
Melvin served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He graduated from Kent State University. Melvin was a salesman and worked for Olin Corporation.
He was an active member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and the Fairport Harbor VFW.
Melvin is survived by his daughters, Sue (Jim) Eddy, Amy Fundermark-Proto, and Lora (Paul) LaRosa; grandchildren, Mattherw Proto, Jonathan Proto, Christopher LaRosa, Sarah LaRosa, and Patrick LaRosa; great grandchildren, Mara and Clara Proto.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Fundermark in 2019; his parents; sister, Rita Shetina and his brother, Elmer Fundermark.
A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
