Michael A. Kovacs

Michael Andrew Kovacs, age 69, passed away December 2, 2024, at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Township, Ohio.  He was born April 24, 1955, in Painesville to Steve and Laura (Peltoma) Kovacs.

Michael was an inside salesman and worked for American Foam Products for 35 years.  

He treasured spending time with his family at home or on vacations. His favorite vacation spot was Hatteras Island, NC. He loved the OBX. 

He enjoyed gardening, and he would start every January to plan the layout for his backyard. It was truly a tropical paradise. He loved to have friends over and many summer evenings were spent talking and laughing with good friends. He also enjoyed listening to music at concert venues or at local establishments. Mick loved to talk and watch Cleveland sports, especially the Guardians. He also loved spending time with his dogs, Lucy, Buddy, and Cooper. He could always be found with one or more of them by his side. 

Michael is survived by his wife, Deborah (Munczenski) Kovacs; son, Robert Kovacs, and his brother, Robert (Barb) Kovacs. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, John Munczenski. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.
