Mildred Argo Obituary

Mildred L. Argo, age 94, a resident of Fairport Harbor, passed away April 8, 2022, at Harbor Care Assisted Living. Mildred was born April 27, 1927, to Carl Bean and Lillian Hayes in Atlanta, GA.  Mildred was raised by her aunt (Helen) and uncle (Carl) Diehl in Knoxville, Tennessee.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Argo of Fairport Harbor, Oh.; daughter-in-law, Joyce of Painesville; brother, Allen Diehl (wife Nancy) of Maynardville, Tennessee, several nieces and nephews and cousin, Kenneth of Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Argo; son, Larry; sisters, Betty Boyer and Nancy Treece; parents, aunt and uncle, Carl and Helen Diehl, brother, Gary Sherwood and several nieces and nephews.

Mildred will always be remembered for her love of animals, especially dogs, her home state of Tennessee, and The Great Smoky Mountains.

Friends and family will be received 4-6 PM. Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Mulqueeny-Spear Funeral Home, 312 Eagle Street, Fairport Harbor.  A graveside service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Riverside Cemetery Painesville, OH.

Memorials may be made in her name to: her daughter Debbie or the Lake County Humane Society.

A special thank you goes out to the ladies at Harborcare for all the great care they gave Mildred for the past 4 years and to Hospice of the Western Reserve for being there the last 5 days of Mildred’ s life
