Nathanael Miguel Horton, age 24, passed away December 8, 2025, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights. He was born June 9, 2001, in Painesville to Jeffrey Horton and Ellen Perkins.
Nathanael worked for United Parcel Service and Di'Stefino's Bakery.
He enjoyed spending time with friends and family laughing and having fun. He enjoyed being out in nature and taking walks with his dog Nova. He loved hiking, camping, and spontaneous traveling. He enjoyed spending his downtime playing Xbox with his online friends. He also loved Pokeman go and his trips to the haunted house at the Mansfield Penitentiary.
Nathanael was the kindest, most gentle soul with the most contagious laugh and smile. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him was blessed to be in his presence.
Nathanael is survived by his mother, Ellen (Jason) Luther and his father, Jeffrey Horton; brothers, Ethan Horton and Aidan (Logan) Horton, stepbrothers, Zack Luther, Kyle Luther, and Chase Luther; stepsister, Kaitlyn Luther (Nick). Grandparents Michele and Gary Perkins and Maria and Anildo Melicio. Aunts Shelley Perkins and Carlita (Christopher) Skok. Uncle Gary (Melanie) Perkins Jr. Cousins Amanda Perkins, Spencer Skok, Faith Perkins, Victoria Skok, Paige Perkins, Preston Perkins, and William Skok.
He is proceeded in death by his grandfather Thomas Horton and beloved dog
Family and friends will be received 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, OH. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM.
