Norma Lee (Pizzino) Nelson passed away August 29th, 2024, in Painesville, Ohio. She was born June 18, 1933, in Madison to James Vincent Pizzino and Mary Rose (Loria) Pizzino.
Norma worked for Ashtabula County Community Action, the Madison School District and the J. C. Penney Company.
Norma had a full and active life. She was a member of the Friendship Club, Off Our Rockers, and sang with the Sweet Adelines. She loved to travel and took many bus trips. Norma enjoyed playing bingo, cards, bowling, dominos and had a green thumb when it came to growing her African violets. She was an avid Cleveland Sports Fan! She also cooked meals for shut-ins and transported many of her friends when they needed rides.
Norma is survived by her son, Kenneth Everett Nelson (Terri) ; daughters, Darlene Ann Raymond; Debra Lee Trisket (Bob); Annette Marie Schomburg (Larry) and Susan Kay Sandor (Son, Bryan); seven grandchildren, Thomas, Tracey, Holly (Todd), Kyle, Leah (AJ), Chelsea (Neal) and Bryan; twelve great grandchildren, Devan, Mike, Tim, Ashley, Darron, Izzabella, Maya, Claire, Amelia, Tommy, Quinn and Raymond; great-great grandchildren, Odin and Laklyn; sister, Mary Ann (Charles) Smith, and sister in-law, Clytie Pizzino.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ben (Mamie) Pandora, Frank (Mary) Pandora, Eugene (Dorothy) Pizzino, Daniel (Jane) Pizzino, Basil (Edith) Pizzino, Lyle Pizzino; sisters, Carmella (Joseph) Bernardo, Victoria Lee Pandora, Betty Jane (John) Swails, Nancy (Jack) Riddle and Gloria (Mike) Malizio; niece, Lee Stokley; son-in-law, Gary Raymond, and grandson, BJ Trisket.
She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and loved them all.
Friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Thursday September 5th, 2024, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH 44077
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Larry Wade officiating. Lunch with family to follow at First Church of Christ, 422 Mentor Ave. Painesville.
Private Family Graveside Services to be held at a a later date at Perry Cemetery.
