Oscar T. Manns

Oscar T.  Manns, age 81, passed away January 27, 2024, at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Township.  He was born November 19, 1942, in Omar, West Virginia to Lonnie and Clara Lee (Lette) Manns.

Oscar was also a fork-lift operator at Joseph Dysons & Sons for over 30 years. He was also a truck driver and worked for ACAR Industries for 10 years.

He was a member of the Fairport Harbor Senior Center and enjoyed playing pool with his friends.   He loved pitching horseshoes. Oscar also was a member of the Painesville Horseshoe Club and traveled all over the United States and Canada for horseshoe tournaments.  Growing up, he played basketball and was a “STAR”.  He also enjoyed golfing and was a member of the golf league at work.

Oscar had a knowledge and a love of sports like no other.  He always supported his nieces, nephews, and godchildren, in sporting events and dance recitals and he enjoyed every minute of it.

Oscar is survived by his wife, Jeannette (Spaller) Manns; brother, Ron Manns of Kansas City, Missouri, and Don Manns of North Ridgeville, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and godchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 12 other siblings.

A Celebration of Life for Oscar will be held at a later date.
