Patricia C. (Cook) Butler

Patricia C. Butler, age 82, passed away January 11, 2025, in Mentor, Ohio.  She was born July 30, 1942, in Fairfield Township (Ohio) to Lawrence Cook and Ella (Cain) Cook.

Patricia was a registered nurse and graduated from Lakeland Community College with honors. She worked for the Mount Sinai Hospital in Cleveland for many years and then as a review nurse for various agencies.

She was a member of East Shore Unitarian Universalist Church in Kirtland and was active in social justice programs.  Patricia enjoyed working on puzzles, reading, playing bridge, travel, and vacationing on Edisto Island in South Carolina.

Patricia is survived by her husband, William Butler; son, William Kent (Lori Gromen) Butler; daughter, Kara (Ethan) Ellsworth; grandchildren, Salix Ellsworth, Reed Ellsworth and Forrest Ellsworth; sister, Margaret “Peggy” Beckelhymer.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Audrey Crocket, Wynoka Smith, Josephine Johnson, and her parents.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.
