Patricia Anna (Kapostasy) Carlson

Patricia Anna Carlson, age 79, peacefully passed away July 12, 2023, surrounded by her family at Mentor Ridge Health Center. She was born May 17, 1944, in Painesville to Michael and Helen (Davis) Kapostasy.

Patricia worked at Lake West Hospital in dietary services for 17 years. She especially loved being a mom and grandma and spending time with family.  She enjoyed walks with her husband, shopping and watching movies. Her kindness and generosity will always be remembered.  

Patricia is survived by her husband of 57 years, Karl Carlson; son, Chris (Teresa) Carlson; daughter, Kim (Kevin) Filiatraut; brothers, Mickey (Janet) Kapostasy, Roger Kapostasy and Stevie (Mary Ann) Kapostasy; sister, Lizzie (Tim) Muzzin; grandchildren, Ryan, Nicole, Karlie, Luke and Claire; great grandchild, Kallahan.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jill (Tony) Kosir; brothers, Billy (Jenny) Kapostasy, Richard Kapostasy and Arthur Kapostasy; sisters, Nancy Carlson, Karen Thomas and Debbie (Chuck) Bramley.  

Family and friends will be received 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday July 17, at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. 

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday July 18, 2023, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Fairport Harbor, Ohio. 
Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
