Philip G. “Philbilly” Meister, age 63, passed away January 28, 2021 at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Township. He was born September 3, 1957 in Cleveland to Richard and Martha (Summers) Meister.
Philip worked as a driver for Dayton Freight Lines for over 12 years. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and driving his 1957 Chevy Bel Air.
Philip was a loving and giving person and the love he had for his family and the times they spent together were most important to him. He had a sense of humor like no other and could make anyone laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy (Gelhausen) Johnson Meister; son, Richard (Rebecca) Meister; grandson, Michael Philip Meister; step - daughter, Kara Johnson; brothers, Ronald Meister, Roger (Pat) Meister, and Randy (Linda) Meister; sisters, Marie Pinkston and Rosemary (Jim) Potter; brother-in-law, Ken Ellis.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Martha Meister; sister, Margaret Ellis and brother, Richard Meister Jr.
Due to Covid, the family has elected not to hold a memorial service at this time but will be having a “celebration of life event” later in the year. Information will be forthcoming.
