Phyllis A. Lane, age 89, was the daughter of Philip A. Bondi and Grace (Pytel) Butcher. She was born on June 30, 1935, in Cleveland Ohio and passed away March 22, 2025, at the Enclave of Newell Creek, Mentor, Ohio.
Phyllis was employed by the former Carlisle Allen Department Store in Painesville for 18 years. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband in their motorhome to 48 states. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Most important to her were her grandchildren, staying with her for days at a time.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Mark) Mlachak, Donny (Sandi) Lane, Teresa (Frank) Hall. Grandchildren, Megan (Mike) Legan, Mark (Rosa) Mlachak, Donny (KayLyn) Lane, Dale Lane, Dana Lane, Kaileigh (AJ) Nesselrotte, and Michael Hall; great-grandchildren, Alex Legan, Natalie Whatley, Arabelle Nesselrotte, C J Nesselrotte, Milani Hall, Donald Lane and Sawyer Lane; and nieces and nephews in Mississippi, Colorado and Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Donald F. Lane; mother, Grace Butcher; step-father, James Butcher; father, Philip A. Bondi; sister, Peggy Eckert; brothers, Philip L. Bondi and James P. Bondi.
Friends will be received 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM, Friday, March 28, 2025, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 523 Plum Street, Fairport Harbor, Ohio, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM. A burial will take place at Concord Cemetery.
