Randolph F. West age 84 passed away May 4th, 2024, at his residence in Concord Township Ohio.
Born March 17th, 1940, in Toledo, Ohio, he lived in Michigan and California, but spent most of his life in the Painesville and Madison area.
Randy was a graduate of Riverside High School and Tri State University, with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. He was a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) and the Western Reserve Harley Owners Group (HOG).
He worked as an Engineer for Coe Mfg., Lord Corp, Iten Industries and was a Hi Performance Product Mgr. for TRW Inc. He finished his working career as a Rural Mail Carrier in Madison.
He loved to race, restore, and repair automobiles; he owned numerous motorcycles and sports cars; his favorite was a 1958 Corvette, that he restored and owned for more than 50 years. He held an SCCA National and FIA Racing license; and traveled extensively on his Harley Davidson.
Survivors are his wife, Margaret (Falge) West; daughters, Candice Coulter, Megan West (Badger Bergmann), and son Timothy West; brother, Leland H. West of California; and granddaughters, Randi (Zach) McLeod,and Maeve West; grandson, Rafael West; and great granddaughter, Nora McLeod
He was preceded in death by his father, William H. West Jr., mother, Nadine Spelman (Fansworth) West, and brother, David West.
Friends will be received, 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Thursday, May 9th, 2024, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, May 10th at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville Ohio, May 10th, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
