Rebecca A. "Beckie" (Hayes) Pesta

Rebecca A. “Beckie” Pesta, age 68, of Concord Township, Ohio, passed away July 19, 2025, while attending her annual family reunion in Flemington, WV.   She was born May 5, 1957, in Painesville to Edmond Hayes and Shirley (Seese) Hayes.

Beckie worked as a lab technician for the Lake Heath System for many years.  Her and her husband of 38 years, Don, own and operate Chilis Fire Pit in Mentor, Ohio, as well as Nite Owl Curriers Service.  Beckie enjoyed cross stitching and generously gifted her family with her beautiful art.  She also enjoyed trips to area casinos, visiting nearby wineries and listening to music.

Rebecca is survived by her husband, Don Pesta; father, Edmond Hayes; son, Marshall (Hanna) Pesta; daughter, Linda Pesta (Kevin Grzesikowski); brothers, Gary (Tina) Hayes and Edmond (Roberta) Hayes; grandchildren, Eve Pesta, Austin Pesta, Zane Pesta, Blaze Pesta and Emily Pesta; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Hayes.,

Friends will be received 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Funeral Services will be11:00 AM, Monday, July 28th, at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Perry Cemetery, Perry, Ohio.
