Richard M White

Richard Matthew White, age 61, was born October 31, 1961, in Painesville, Ohio.  He passed away August 23, 2023, at his home in Concord Township, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Richard worked as a Processing Engineer for Avery Dennison and was a loyal employee for over 40 years, until retiring in 2021.

Richard was an avid sports lover and was a stand-out pitcher back in his days at Harvey High School.  He played in bowling leagues and bowled his first 300 game only a few years ago.  The game of golf was his true passion, where he enjoyed every opportunity, he had to be out on the course.  He played in leagues for many years at Painesville Country Club and enjoyed playing on other courses as well. He had his first “hole in one” on the 3rd hole at Painesville Country Club only six weeks prior to his passing.

Richard was a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years and was a 3rd Degree Knight.  He loved music, with Genesis being his favorite band. He was lucky enough to get to see them in concert last year, during the band’s final tour.

In addition to playing softball for many years, Richard coached softball and baseball for the Painesville Senior Leagues. He loved going to his granddaughter’s softball games, not only to watch them play, but to coach them on the sidelines, as well. He was a very proud Papa!

Richard also loved being out on the water, and with the help of dear friends, was able to take his boat out one last time, just a few weeks ago.

Richard’s family and friends were his world.  He was a devoted husband, father grandfather and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Hedy White.

Richard leaves behind his loving wife, Christina (Venditti) White; daughter, Amber (George) sons, Ryan White, Sebastian Venditti- White; grandchildren, Jaylyn, Aaliyah, Riyah, and Hunter; brothers, David (Kris) White and Tim (Connie) White.  In addition, he leaves behind many dear friends who have been a part of his life for decades.

 A Memorial and Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held at a later date.
