Robert Eugene Jewart

Robert Eugene Jewart, age 81, passed away August 25, 2025, at his residence in Jefferson, Ohio surrounded by his family.  He was born April 16, 1944, in Washington, Pennsylvania to Fred Delbert Jewart and Hulda Mae (Helman) Jewart. 

Robert served in the United States Army National Guard.   He worked for PMC Industries/Park Ohio as a mechanic and welder for many years where he met his wife, retiring in 2007.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.  When he retired, he took up wood working making furniture.

Robert is survived by his wife, Jennie Sylvia (Elliott) Jewart; son Anthony (Laurie) Cantrell; sisters, Grace Fisher and Charlotte (Robert) Lewis; grandchildren, Destiny Cantrell, Rebecca Cantrell, Caleigh Cantrell, Alexander Cantrell, and Madeline Cantrell; five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Harry (Phylis) Jewart, and stepson, Destry Cantrell.

Family and friends will be received 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Friday, August 29, 2025, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Funeral Services will immediately follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.  A celebration of life will take place at later date.
