Robert "Bob" W. Bruner

Robert “Bob” W. Bruner, age 69, passed away July 8, 2024, at his residence in Painesville Township, surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born December 9, 1954, in Painesville to Edward and Luave (Roberts) Bruner.

Bob worked in research and development for Associated Enterprises/Meritec for over 35 years.  He enjoyed tinkering in the garage with his impressive tool collection, fixing anything – even if it wasn’t broken, taking road trips to Pennsylvania and traveling – most recently to Hawaii, and cooking.

Bob is survived by his wife, Elisabeth ‘Liz” (Norton) Zamule-Bruner; son, Brent (Bobbi) Bruner; step-daughter, Stephanie (Emilio) Battaglini; brothers, Ed Bruner, Jake (Jackie) Bruner and Raymond (Kim) Bruner; sister, Rita Davidson; grandchildren, Robert “Bobby” Bruner, Gianna Battaglini and Evelyn Zamule.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ronald Bruner; sisters, Luave Darlene, Margaret Anna “Peggy” Becker, Mary Biesel and Alverda “Birdie” Costanzo McGuire; son, Robert W Bruner and step-son, David Zamule.

A Celebration of Bob’s life will take place at a later date in Ohio and Pennsylvania.  Bob will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery in Apollo, Pennsylvania.
