Roger R. Gier

Graveside services for Roger R. Gier will be 11:00 AM Friday June 7, 2024 at Perry Cemetery, 3840 Middle Ridge Rd. Perry, OH 44081.

Roger was the son of Raymond Gier and Lucille Webster, born on March 25, 1957, in Stockbridge Michigan, and passed away May 31, 2024, at Burton Healthcare in Burton Ohio.

Roger served in the U.S. Navy for 11 years and was an over the road truck driver for Coldiron Specialized Trucking for many years.

Roger enjoyed various outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary “Suzi” Gier; daughters, Theresa Wade, Barbara (Thomas) Deis; grandchildren, Christopher Wade, Jeremiah Wade, Thomas Deis, Spencer Wade; great grandchild, Jeremiah M. Wade; father, Raymond Gier; brother, Brett Gier; sisters, Ruthann Gier, and Shaney Gorrell.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Webster and stepmother, Linda Gier.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Roger's name to The Wounded Warrior Project.

A Celebration of Roger's Life will take place at Noon following the Graveside Service at the Perry Outdoor YMCA in the Arbor Room.
