Russell Tuttle Jr., age 44, passed away suddenly December 7, 2020 at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Township. He was born August 2, 1976 in Painesville to Russell Sr. and Karen (Malkamaki) Tuttle.
Russell received his Associates degree in Criminal Justice from Lakeland Community College. He was sworn in as a Painesville Police Department officer in November 1999. He served as a community service officer, evidence tech, evidence room custodian and field-training officer. Russell was promoted to Patrol Sergeant in May of 2019.
Russell was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed going camping, four-wheeling with his boys. Anything with a motor made him happy. Russ enjoyed spending time with his friends.
He had a special place in his heart for his dogs.
Russell is survived by his wife, Donielle (Knepp) Tuttle; sons, Austin, Ethan and Caden Tuttle; parents, Russell Sr. and Karen Tuttle; sister, Kelly Tuttle; nephew, Ryan Tuttle; mother-in-law, Paulette Knepp and brother-in-law, Robert (Rochelle Palalay) Knepp.
Funeral services for Russell will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 11, 2020 at Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. Friends will be received from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, before the service, at the church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Russ’s name to Painesville F.O.P. Lodge, 66 North State St. Painesville, OH 44077 or to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 250 Bowhall Rd. Painesville.
