Russell A. Werle, age 73, beloved husband of Linda M. Werle (Stevko) was suddenly taken from us. He was born and raised in Euclid.
After several minor jobs, he took a job working on the railroad, working for Penn Central, Conrail and CSX. He retired after 42 years of riding the rails. He like to say he was playing with the world’s biggest train set and getting paid for it. Russell was a long-time Indians fan and Harley enthusiast. So much so, he and his wife eloped to South Dakota to get married.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 29 years, Linda; sister, Nancy L. (Kevin) Martin; and brother, Arthur Werle. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Edith (Wilson) Werle, and his sister, Susan K. Noble.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 6:30 - 9:00 PM at Western Reserve Harley Davidson, 8567 Tyler Blvd., Mentor, Ohio. In memory of Russell please wear “Harley” or “Cleveland Indians” attire.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Russell’s memory to a charity of your choice.
