Steve G. “Pete” Kerestman, age 90, passed away April 12, 2022, in Concord Township, Ohio. He was born April 16, 1931, in Fairport Harbor to Priscilla (Fulop) and George Keresztman.
Pete served in the United States Army and was a Korean War veteran. He retired from the Diamond Shamrock Corp. and Ricerca. He was a member of Fairport VFW Post 7754, Knights of Columbus, Council 947, and St. Cyprian’s Catholic Church.
He enjoyed golfing, washing cars, tinkering, gardening, and neighborhood watching.
Pete is survived by his children, Tom (Kim) Kerestman, Lynne Kline and Steve Kerestman; grandchildren, Kristin (Tom) Johns, Steven Kerestman, Janelle (Adam) Lemke, T.J. Kline, Stacey Kerestman, Kelsey (fiancé, Joe Rich) Kline, Kortney Kline, Sara Kerestman and Leah (Luis Morelos) Kerestman, Madeline Kerestman and Mackenzie Kerestman; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Lillian Kerestman; son, Timothy Kerestman; siblings, Olga Zupan and Robert Kerestman; granddaughter, Shalin Gray.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at St. Cyprian’s Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Road, Perry, Ohio. Family and friends will be received 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
