Suzanna “Sue” M. Novak, age 84, passed away peacefully June 17, 2025, at her residence in Fairport Harbor, Ohio. She was born November 19, 1940, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Ross Jordan and Mary Alice (Williams) Jordan.
Sue was a homemaker and raised 3 beautiful children along with her late husband Jerry. They enjoyed many wonderful family vacations and spending summers at Crooked Lake in Indiana. Sue loved gardening and tending to her “critters” in the yard.
Sue enjoyed spending time with all her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter, and was so very proud of all their accomplishments.
Her family and friends brought the greatest joy to her and was everyone’s biggest cheerleader. She never spoke ill of people and truly wanted the best for everyone. Sue was a second mother to so many people over the years. She and Jerry had opened their home to many “lost” kids over the years. Sue would never turn away a child in need of love, care, and parental guidance.
Sue was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She would celebrate your wins and feel with you through the losses that life would throw at you as well. She was kind, caring, loving, smart, sassy, and tenacious. Her love and wisdom will be missed.
She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Painesville for 48 yrs. She was involved in numerous activities over the years including teaching PSR and the chinese auction. One would often see her at mass during the week. Her faith in God was unwavering, and she always said, “Leave it in God’s hands…He will take care of you.” Now, God has raised Sue into his loving arms.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Maria Novak; sons, Tim (Tracey) Novak and Paul Novak, Fiance, Karly Chudzik; brother, David Jordan; sister, Jeannie Ziegler; grandchildren Terry Myers, Nicholas Novak, Zachary Novak, Kendal (Novak) Kovach, Tanner Novak, and Jarrett Novak; Great Granddaughter, Lennie Kovach; and many nieces and nephews.
