Sylvia J Phillips

Sylvia J. Phillips, age 72, passed away August 9, 2025, at Maple Ridge Assisted Living in Willoughby, Ohio.   She was born December 23, 1952, in Painesville to Edward R. Ball and Betty A. (Smith) Ball. 

Sylvia was a homemaker.  She also worked for Hometown Buffet for years.

She loved spending time with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed sitting on her bench and listening to the sounds of her wind chimes.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Laura (Charles) Marvin; sons, Neal (Shannon) Phillips and John Phillips; brothers, Lou (Judy) Ball and Edward (Diane) Ball; sister, Carolyn Kallay; grandchildren, Angelik Green, Cheyenne Earl, Travis Phillips, Jacob Phillips and Caleb Phillips; great grandchildren, Bentley, Deagan and Toryn.

She was preceded in death by her daughter-in- law, Crissy Phillips, brother- in-law, Steven Kallay Sr., grandson, Blake Phillips and her parents.

Family and friends will be received 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 15, 2025, at Perry Cemetery, 3840 Middle Ridge Road, Perry, Ohio.
