Private Funeral Services for Tamara “Tami” S. Vouk will be held, Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.
Tami was born December 2, 1961 in Painesville to Michael Patrick and Ellyn Lou (Rider) Corrigan. She passed away at her residence in Concord Township November 11, 2020 after a courageous 20-month battle against leukemia and lymphoma.
Tami was a teacher for the Hershey Montessori School for many years where she worked in the Children’s House. Her specialty was nurturing and forming the lives of young children. She could take a crying child and in 30 seconds transform them into a laughing and happy toddler. After retiring from Hershey, she continued to watch many children at her home. She was an excellent gardener, and her yard was always beautifully decorated with perennials and annuals. She was always a giver and never a taker and made sure everyone around her was happy. The Holidays were her favorite time of the year as family meant everything to her. Shopping for everyone and watching the children open their presents always brought a huge smile to her face.
Tami is survived by her husband, Kevin Vouk; son, Kevin (fiancé Allison) Vouk; father, Michael Patrick Corrigan; brothers, Gregory (Kelley) Corrigan, Jeffrey Corrigan; sisters, Sharon (Michael Wertenberger) Corrigan, Michelle (Andy) Oestrike and Lindsey Myers; brothers-in-law, Kurt (Elizabeth) Vouk and Keith (Louise ) Vouk; mother-in-law, Patricia Vouk; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ellyn (Rider) Corrigan; brother, Tyke Corrigan Jr. and father-in-law, Kenneth Vouk.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hershey Montessori School, 10229 Prouty Road, Concord Township, OH 44077 or The Hospice House of the Western Reserve, P. O. Box 72101, Cleveland, OH. 44192.
