Terrance Havrilla Obituary

Terrance M. Havrilla, age 77 of Leroy Township, was the son of Michael and Catherine (Harris) Havrilla. Born on March 25, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio. He passed away, February 4, 2026, at his home in Leroy Township.

Terrance worked for many years for National ACME and retired from Hunter Defense Technologies.

He proudly served as an infantryman in Vietnam. That experience shaped him, and he shared those stories often, usually in the sunroom or out on the deck, talking with his boys over a diet Mountain Dew, long after the sun had gone down. He listened carefully, gave honest counsel, and cheered his family on in ways big and small.

An avid fisherman, he spent many of his best days on Lake Erie, casting lines from his boat and finding peace in the rhythm of the water. He loved animals of every kind and could recite facts about nearly any animal or insect you asked him about. He also enjoyed golfing whenever he had the chance, valuing the time spent with friends and family as much as the game itself.

He had an infectious laugh and an unforgettable sense of humor. He showed up for people. He listened. He told the truth. He loved deeply.

He is survived by his wife Patricia (Gagan) Havrilla, sons Christopher (Katlyn Hathaway) Havrilla and Ryan (Channing) Havrilla, and grandson Graham Havrilla.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Alan Havrilla.

Family and friends will be received from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville on Friday, February 13, 2026. Services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at All Souls 10366 Chardon Rd, Chardon, OH 44024, immediately following the services.

Contributions may be made in Terrance’s name to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, P.O. Box 72101, Cleveland, OH 44192.

He will be missed beyond measure and remembered in every story told in the sunroom, every time we look out over the water, and every laugh that catches us off guard and reminds us of him.
