Timothy A Jones

Timothy A. Jones, age 54, passed away March 31, 2022, at his residence in Concord Township.  He was born March 9, 1968, in Willoughby to Robert Lawrence and Shirley (Crissey) Jones.

Timothy was a passionate machinist, following in his father’s footsteps at Willoughby Screw Machine at the age of 15. Once it closed 10 years ago, he continued at Diversified Machine Components in Eastlake until he retired April 2021. Timothy was also an avid runner, participating in many marathons with his running family, whom he cared for deeply.

He was also passionate about computers, taking side jobs to fix and build his and others computers. He was deemed a Microsoft Certified Professional. Tim was also a firearm aficionado and aspired to become a Gunsmith. Collecting guns and shooting was his passion until he passed.

 He loved playing music and was a member of various Rock bands in the 80's and 90's, playing the keyboard and being a backup singer; This is how he ended up meeting his wife of 28 years, Vanessa.  He loved cars, particularly classic Mustangs.

Tim was a great Horseshow Dad. Between driving to Horseshow competitions in snowstorms, cleaning boots, loading a car full of girls, Tim did anything and everything his pride and joy, Nora, needed him to do. He loved all animals, especially his cats Bling, Pandora, and grand kittens Yukki and Sachi. He also enjoyed maintaining his salt and freshwater aquariums over the years.

Timothy is preceded in death by his parents and his Brother Robert L Jones Jr.  Timothy is survived by his wife of 28 years, Vanessa (Abrams) Jones; daughter, Nora Jeannette Jones; Sister, Sherry (Douglas) Holmberg and had recently connected with his half-brother Rick (Ginger) Jones. 8 nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many close Friends that he considered his Family. As we are all heartbroken, Bling, his big orange best friend feels the loss as deeply as anyone. He never left Timmy's lap.

Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.  Friends will be received from 1:00 – 3:00 PM before the service, at the funeral home. The interment will take place at a later date in Clarksville, Tennessee. 

In lieu of Flowers, donations in honor of Tim, can be made to The Painesville Moose Lodge 490,  30 Elevator St. Painesville OH 44077. The Moose 490 family has had their arms around us since we found about his diagnosis and never let us go.  We will forever be grateful and blessed.
