Tina Marie (Waid) Morton

Tina Marie Morton, age 53, passed away on August 18, 2024, at her residence in Painesville Township, surrounded by her family.   She was born April 12, 1971, in Painesville to Kenton A. and Sandra (Hoffman) Waid.

Tina was a 1989 graduate pf Geneva High School and Lakeland Community College.  She worked as a Paralegal Manager for the law firm of Elk and Elk for over 20 years.  Tina truly enjoyed working for the firm, where she made many wonderful friends.

Tina enjoyed attending her kid’s sporting events, football and tennis for Riverside High School.  Mia lettered in Varsity Tennis.  Zac’s freshman football team will be commemorating Tina’s legacy by wearing “Tina Strong” ribbons on their helmets for the 2024 season.

Tina loved music, entertaining her family, and decorating her home for all of the holidays.  Tina and Doug also loved to travel, especially to any beach destination.

Tina is survived by her husband, Douglas Morton, whom she married April 6, 2002; daughter, Mia C. Morton; son, Zac C. Morton; brother, Jason A. (Carrie) Waid; and her parents, Sandra Krasneski and Kenton Waid.  She also leaves behind her faithful loving companion, Macy.

Friends will be received Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at St. Bede Catholic Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor, Ohio.  Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11:00 AM.
