Vivian Kroll, a soft-spoken, humble lady, who appreciated the little things in life and never had a bad thing to say about anyone, passed away on May 31, 2025, at her home in Richmond Heights, at the age of 93. She was born on April 6, 1932, among the beautiful hills of West Virginia, to Pierce and Ruth (Byrd) Roe. She was the seventh of ten children.
Vivian was a 1951 graduate of Harvey High School. Afterwards, she was employed at Fasson (Avery Dennison) where she met the love of her life, Jim. They were married for 60 years. They participated on the Fasson bowling team together and received many trophies. Vivian loved quiet times and working on puzzles. Jim and Vivian also enjoyed a lifetime of antiquing, camping, and attending car cruises together.
For many years Vivian worked as a cook for the Church of the Brethren daycare in Painesville. She loved being around children and caring for them.
Vivian is survived by her loving husband, James “Jim” Kroll, and stepdaughter, Karin (Kroll) Gardner.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Richard Edward Roe, Virginia Ruth Roe, Robert Marvin Roe, Naomi Zelma Roe, Helen Irene Roe, Wanetta Agnes Roe, Samuel J. Roe, Paul Byrd Roe and sister, Pauline Lura Roe.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Vivian’s life at the Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio, on Friday, June 6, 2025. Calling hours will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM, then procession to Perry Cemetery.
