William M. Kapostasy, 75, of Fairport Harbor, Ohio, died peacefully on March 21, 2021, at Tripoint Medical Center, surrounded by his immediate family. He was born July 29, 1945, to Michael and Helen (nee Davis) Kapostasy.
He was a 1963 graduate of Fairport Harding High School and worked for over 35 years at Ricerca, Inc, in Painesville.
He enjoyed going to casinos, watching Ohio State and Cleveland Browns football, Cleveland Indians baseball, and Ohio State and Cleveland Cavaliers basketball.
Bill is survived by his wife, Jenni (nee Heleen), whom he married on June 5, 1982. He leaves son William M. Jr, of Fairport Harbor, daughter Jennifer (Jason) Haas of Mentor on Lake, Ohio, son Cody (Shelly) of Willoughby Ohio, and son Kevin (Erin) of Hilliard, Ohio. He also leaves granddaughters Olivia Haas and Jade Kapostasy, and grandsons Kevin Jr., Patrick, and Owen Kapostasy.
He leaves brother Michael (Janet), Roger, Stephen (Mary Ann), and sisters Patricia (Karl) Carlson, Nancy Carlson, Elizabeth (Tim) Muzzin, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Arthur and Richard, and sisters Karen Thomas and Deborah Bramley.
We will receive family and friends on Wednesday, March 24, from 4-7 pm at Mulqueeny-Spear Funeral Home, 312 Eagle Street, Fairport Harbor. With respect to those around us, social distancing and the wearing of masks would be appreciated. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, March 25, at St. Anthony’s Church, 316 Fifth Street, Fairport Harbor, at 10 am. Burial will be at a later date.
