He served in the United States Air Force from 1953 through 1957 where he met his lifelong best friend, Bob Jacobs. Sixty years later in 2017, Bill and Bob were privileged to accept an invitation to experience the Honor Flight. After retiring, he worked for Grande Design Florists in Painesville delivering flowers to the hospitals, local churches and the community.
Bill loved sports, especially the Cleveland Indians. He coached his daughter’s softball teams and bowled with his sons in father/son leagues. He enjoyed his time on the golf course with his best friend Bob. He was a parent leader for the YMCA Indian Guides and Indian Princesses.
